What Exactly To Take Into Account When Picking A Network Marketing Business

Searching for MLM companies? There are a lot out there, probably too many. Some are good, some not so good.

Naturally every company you research will probably tell you that they are the best one to join, and that you will make a shed load of money. But there are a few things to consider about MLM companies before you actually join which I shall be detailing for you today.

1) Many people will join an MLM company as a result of a company presentation, whether it be a live meeting in person, telephone conference call, online webinar, or even a 1 to 1 or house party. A lot of people are moved to sign the dotted line based on emotional decisions. They are geared up and excited from the presentation they have just seen and are ready to take their future into their own hands. It’s a classic sales tactic for almost every business and product under the sun, most people make buying decisions based on emotions and it’s a very powerful way to sell. It’s good though to be aware of this and be able to reason with yourself. This way you can make sure you have the time you need to do some research and be sure you’re making a good business decision. 2) Next look at the products the company are selling, are there actually proper products in place? If the business is not actually selling a real product to the end user then it’s possible you could be being enticed to join some sort of ponzi scheme, which you really should stay away from. If there are real products do some research into them and look for testimonials and reviews. You probably already know just how competitive it is in this industry, there are some niches like health & fitness where it’s even more competitive, some would say saturated. So make sure your product can stand out from all the rest in some unique way.

3) Make a note and research the leadership of the company, who are they and have they been successful before. You might want to visit the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) to see if there have been any complaints against members of the leadership or the company. Always remember that any product/company that you promote to your prospects is going to have a direct reflection on you, and can affect your reputation long term.

4) You want to be fully aware of how the compensation plan works and also how much you will get paid. Normally you will need to ‘qualify’ to get paid at certain levels, sometimes to get paid at all. They can indeed be complex so try and get someone to fully explain it to you and make sure you get a copy of it so you can look over it in your own time You also want to know exactly how much it will cost to join the company, plus if there are any ongoing monthly fees, or an auto ship.

5) Who will you join? Who will be your sponsor/mentor? Especially if you are new, you will be relying on your sponsor or mentor quite a lot, so you need to find a good one. Some sponsors will go to great lengths to recruit you but then after the sales is made may not actually deliver on their training and support promises, it can happen so just be smart about things. Try and speak to your proposed sponsor before signing up, you want to work with someone that you connect well with (especially if it’s a high ticket business!).
