I mean, I knew about “calorie in verses calorie out,” but that’s not really enough. It didn’t take too long to set things straight. What follows are a few things to remember, for anyone looking to lose some weight.

The tried and true rule of fat loss is that you must consume fewer calories than you burn. Don’t forget that exercise is also an integral part of the equation. While a healthy diet has the most impact on your weight loss, exercise is still important. Here I’ll be discussing some things on how to improve your diet.

You are capable of digesting a lot of things, though not all of them are considered food. You could eat poison, but is that food? No, neither is junk food. Continue reading to gain some basic information of fat loss.

Donuts are great tasting, but far from great. I mean, with nothing but sugar and flour in them, it’s hard to do worse. And don’t forget about them being deep fat fried. Even worse, they are generally eaten as an entire breakfast meal.

There is zero benefit from drinking soda. Even diet soda has chemicals in it that are harmful, and may even increase appetite. I can think of no worse drink out there.

There is no french fry or potato chip worth eating, anywhere. They are simply too high in fat and sodium. Don’t forget about what they do to your blood sugar.

With all this talk about what you shouldn’t eat, let’s talk about what you should. a good choice is to make sure that you have include fiber and protein in every meal or snack. Chick and fish are great for your protein, while fruits and/or vegetable are great for fiber. For pasta, bagels, and bread, make sure that the package says on it “whole wheat.”

The frequency with which you eat your meals is also important. Try to eat once every three hours. Do not go to bed after having eaten a big meal or a big dinner. Between 1600 and 2200 calories is a good range to stay in, when trying to lose around 30 pounds.

When you work out, what is important is that you find something that you can stick with. You’re more likely to stick with your workout if it is something you enjoy. Don’t think that waling around the gym and moving a few weights around will cut it; it must be strenuous. Talk to your doctor first, and then start working out at least three days a week for up to an hour each time. Good luck!

David Stevens writes articles on how to lose 30 pounds and other weight loss solutions.

I started my weight loss endeavors without really knowing anything about weight loss.
