What initially enthralled me about the Apple iPad was that it was essentially a handheld laptop, being a device that had nearly all the important features of a laptop with the accessibility of Apple’s other devices. But, when you go out into the world, taking your iPad with you as you go, you should be sure that your iPad is juiced up with the energy for it to last you as long as you need to use it. Don’t end up like me and have your iPad hanging onto that last bit of the power bar like a thread. Use an iPad dock.
I finally got the long-awaited iPad as a birthday and graduation present about a year ago. When I got it, I was anxious to make use of all the features available to it, especially when I had an extended trip out of state coming up. I wanted to be able to type some work on my own time and use the iPad to pass the time and entertain myself while I was out.
When I was on my trip to Washington, I spent idle time in the hotel room getting work done and being able to check personal email while I was gone. I spent so much free time using it, that it hadn’t even occurred to me that I’d forgotten my dock or charger for my iPad at home before I left for the trip. Sadly for me, this didn’t ultimately sink in until after my battery power went dead in the middle of a document.
Because I’d forgotten to bring my iPad dock and keep my iPad charged, not only did I lose the document that I’d been slaving over, but I also had to suffer the rest of down time without the use of my iPad. The trip proved to be a bit more boring and tedious without my iPad to keep me busy thereafter.
If you have recently received a new iPad and are anxious to use it, it would be wise for you to buy an iPad dock to go with it. That way, you can maintain your iPad to full power before you take it out with you.
