Samsung Galaxy II Case: An Alarm Protectant

Friday, August 24th, 2012

I am of the opinion that every cell phone should come pre-packaged with a case. As much as I love having a cell phone of the latest make, there’s a risk factor that comes with it since they might not have been built so sturdily. Whenever I drop my phone, for instance, I’m scrambling to pick it up, inspecting every last centimeter to see even the smallest hint of a scratch. This is why I feel like a Samsung GALAXY II case should be included with each phone, especially if one uses it as an alarm clock.

Prior to using my phone as an alarm, I had a shoddy clock in its place and it wouldn’t go off when I set it to. In turn, I found myself running late for work and getting around an hour or so later. I didn’t find this to be fun so I had to look for other options. The strongest and most inexpensive option turned out to be my phone and it made a handy alarm. With the volume at its highest, the phone made certain I wouldn’t run late again.

Even though I have my phone as an alarm, there are still a couple of issues I found myself running into. Unlike a traditional alarm clock, a phone is more compact so I found myself scrambling in the darkness to hit the snooze. It just seemed easier for me to leave the phone by my side in bed so that I could have a more reasonable reach for it. I was also afraid I’d knock the phone off the nightstand in my attempt to hit the snooze, thereby strengthening my need for a case.

Cases are marketed on websites, i-Luv amongst others, and they all fit the different needs consumers have. It’s not strange for me to have my phone in a case constantly and I am sure many others feel the same in terms of a Samsung GALAXY II case. These kinds of phones are not exactly cheap and it’s even worse when you know that they can break with enough force applied. A case, in my mind, comes highly suggested with any phone and you can find out more about cases by doing some research.

For those who have their cell phone double as an alarm, I think a case should come even more recommended for you. A phone will constantly take abuse in the hands of the casual user and, as a result, precautions should be taken. Cases can be bought from many different places on the Internet and finding which one works best for you is a cinch. If you don’t want to run an hour late for work, keep this idea in mind.

College Life Revolves Around iPhone

Thursday, August 23rd, 2012

When I’m away at college, having my iPhone on me at all times is crucial. I need it to check e-mails and look at the work that my teachers are posting online. My iPhone helps me get through the day but sometimes it doesn’t even make it through the day, which makes my charger so important. My iPhone charger is one of my most useful possessions. I carry it in my backpack at all times because I never know when I might need it.

Using my iPhone excessively makes my battery drain very quickly, which to me is basically a crisis. I use my phone for so many things throughout the day that I would go crazy without it. If I forget to print something for class and I need to view the file on my phone, having it fully charged is an absolute necessity. When I’m checking my Facebook notifications after a long day of classes, I need to have my phone plugged in, charging and getting ready for the next day.

I am never without my iPhone charger. Whether it’s in my purse or backpack, I never take a chance without it. I know that my mother is grateful for this because when she calls or texts me to see how I’m doing, she expects my phone to be on, charged and ready to answer her. Having my charger with me at all times is definitely worth not having my mom worrying about me while I’m at school.

The ability to search the answer for any question that pops in my head is an amazing thing. I use search engines every single day to look up fun trivia and interesting facts. Having Internet connection at all times is just another reason why having my iPhone charger on me is so important. To see where you can buy an iPhone charger, click here.

Today’s technology like the iPhone is so versatile and easy to use. Having information literally at my fingertips is a great convenience, especially for a college student. Making sure my iPhone is always charged is a daily routine for my hectic on-the-go lifestyle.

Bring Your iPhone Charger with You Everywhere or You’ll be Doomed

Thursday, August 23rd, 2012

Having an iPhone is amazing; the opportunities are endless. I find myself on my phone for most of the day. This may be sad, but everyone else is constantly on their phones all day; I might as well join them. There is only one problem with this; you must carry your iPhone charger with you! The phone can hold a charge, you would be surprised to know how quickly it dies while updating statuses, taking pictures, and being constantly on your phone.

While you think these phones have no flaws, the battery life will prove you wrong. The battery is meant to last for at least one day, but I always find myself running to an outlet almost twice a day.

I had gotten myself a job! The only problem was that the office was twenty minutes from my house. This means I can’t just run home if I forgot something. I soon realized commuting to work may not have been the best choice. This wasn’t even a long commute and I didn’t like it. I really didn’t like it when my phone died!

I was running around the office asking everyone if they had an iPhone charger. Not one person had one. Were they crazy?! The one day I forgot my charger at home, no one had one I could borrow. I could see the writing on the walls already. It was one of the longest days of work. I had a computer, but it wasn’t enough. What if someone had to contact me? What if I wanted to take a picture?

That is when I realized I am utterly addicted to my phone. Don’t frown upon me; at least I can admit it. Almost everyone seems to be addicted to their phones. How can I tell? That is simple; people are always on their phones and a charger has become a necessity to carry around. Now I have two chargers, one for home and one for wherever else has an outlet.

Saved by the iPhone Case

Tuesday, July 24th, 2012

I’m a dog guy. I love animals in general but particularly dogs. They aren’t called “man’s best friend” for nothing. They make perfect companions because of course, they can’t talk back. And all they want is affection and attention. I have a mutt terrier at home named Bingo! She’s a sweet dog and knows words like “sit” and “squirrel” but she can be bad at times. She’s getting older now but she is still playful like a puppy. It’s great that she still loves playing but this can work against me at times however like with my iPhone case.

As I said before; she has her bad moments and she definitely knows right from wrong. I’ve caught her going to town on the cat’s food bowl when no one was around and startled her when I walked in. She totally knows it’s wrong to eat out of the cat bowl. There are times too when she’ll walk straight into screen doors or run into a fence chasing a ball but it’s always good for a laugh.

Another rule she has trouble following is “no going on table tops.” She knows it’s a rule because when I catch her breaking it she’ll bow her head in shame. One time I was going out and headed back in for a second because I had forgotten something and lo and behold there she was; tap dancing with her un-groomed claws all over the dining room table. I couldn’t do anything but laugh at that one. She knew she was being bad!

None of that compares to my iPhone case though. When I play catch with her I like to throw a rubber handball around but she’ll play catch with anything. Of course she knows my phone isn’t a toy but that doesn’t stop her from going for it right in front of my face when it’s sitting on the low coffee table. I swear she does it in spite of me. What makes it worse is that she’s quick so once she’s going she’s hard to catch.

On this day Bingo was being especially bad and snagged the iPhone just so I would play with her. I moved; as quick as I could to stop her but she easily evaded me and went off around the house. When I finally did catch her, her grip was too strong and the iPhone case ripped up as I pulled it from her jaw. You can find the exact one Bingo ruined here. The case was mangled and destroyed but the phone survived. I’m glad these iPhone cases exist.

Avoid Withdrawals and Bring Your iPhone Charger With You

Tuesday, July 24th, 2012

The iPhone is awesome, but dangerous. While I can do almost anything I want with my phone, I noticed that I’m always on my phone. Everyone else is doing it too. Next time you go out, look around you and I bet you’ll see half of those people on their phones. But if you carry a phone with you, you must bring an iPhone charger with you. It dies faster than think when your too busy updating your status every five minutes.

While these phones are the greatest invention, they aren’t perfect. Typically, they don’t hold a full charge for longer than one day. That is only if you aren’t constantly on your phone. If my phone dies, then my day is done.

I had gotten myself a job! The only problem was that the office was twenty minutes from my house. This means I can’t just run home if I forgot something. I soon realized commuting to work may not have been the best choice. This wasn’t even a long commute and I didn’t like it. I really didn’t like it when my phone died!

I began the hunt for a charger. I purchased an extra one from iLuv, but it wasn’t going to reach me in time. I needed one now! No one had an extra one to let me borrow; it was unbelievable. I felt so lost without my phone, having a computer was not enough. I couldn’t run home and I was starting to go nuts.

I felt so lost and disconnected with the world. This made it clear that I am addicted to my phone. We all are, don’t try to deny it. There are few people left who can go a day without their phone. If you think you are one of them, then try it. I bet you won’t be able to last. I can admit when I have an addiction, can you?
